Effective 12 October 2026
This policy covers the Line Perfect app for iPhone and this website. The short version: the app does not collect anything about you.
The scripts and texts you add are stored only on your device. They are not sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting a text in the app, or deleting the app, removes it.
The microphone is used only while you recite. Speech is turned into text on your device — by Apple's on-device speech recognition or by a Whisper model stored on the device. Your most recent reading is kept temporarily so that you can listen to it, and is deleted at your next reading. Audio is never uploaded.
If you scan a page or open a PDF, it is read on the device — scanned pages with Apple's Vision framework. The image or file is not stored by the app after the text has been extracted and is not uploaded.
Your texts, the results of your readings (how many words did not match, and which), your preferences such as chosen faces and voices, and the time your current free session started. None of this leaves the device.
No account, no name, no e-mail address, no advertising identifier, no analytics about what you do in the app, no location.
The app contacts the internet only to download optional speech models (speech recognition and natural voices), once each, and to talk to the App Store about your subscription. Model downloads come from GitHub and Hugging Face, which see your IP address as any download does.
Purchases are handled by Apple. We do not receive your payment details. We learn from the device whether a subscription is active; we do not learn who you are.
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics scripts. Links to the App Store may carry a campaign tag so that Apple can tell us, in aggregate, which page a download came from.
The app is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal data from anyone.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Questions: info@caliptic.com.
